Mute #6, "Mission Control," was constructed between August and October 2000, scheduled to air October 21st.  It was built by Muffy in Abbxcess and Amrita-ta-ta on the Diabolical LadyMac.
This Mute by no means excises my many years at Tim Horton's.  But it has helped.

After five more-or-less wasted years working in a coffee shop, this was my attempt at finally getting it out of my system...it partly worked.  I decided to use the samples mysteriously recorded in a local establishment, with guest appearances by Nick, Bill, Detlef and Steve (all from 1994).  "Zhombes" was first recorded for a compilation from Mutant Cactus Recordings, but was never finished or released.  Its companion track ("Audrey's Ghost Party") was an early computer-MIDI experiment, part of the proposed 12 of 23 tape...the version on this Mute is all that's left, and it's important, because it's a true story.
One thing hearing these samples after so many years has revealed to me, is just how mundane and boring it all really was.
