It wasn't hard to pick songs about relationships for our special "Relationship" show -- because most songs out there seem to be about falling in love, being lucky in love, and being hateful in love (my favourite). But it was a bit hard to decide what makes a good relationship, so I let Venus duke it out with Queen Victoria -- our extra-special guest!
What did we learn? Whitney Houston's "Greatest Love Of All" is apparently about building self-esteem in small children. "Being yourself" is the key to a successful and long-lasting relationship (if that's the sort of thing you're looking for). Queens-dating-queens can be a recipe for competition and stolen clothes. NotQueens-dating-queens can be complicated by either party's hang-ups about the sorts of things men should and shouldn't do. And there really ARE people who will approach you in bars and ask if you'd enjoy getting your ass licked (I would recommend people out there come up with a good response to this question beforehand, so you aren't left wondering what to say...and how to say it).
So whether you're looking for a long-term relationship, a supportive friendship, an ass-licking, or a quick poke in the sack, I can only recommend that you follow these simple steps:
a) You be honest and up-front about what you want, right from the beginning, and
b) Forget about it and get a pet instead.

Muffy's Science Closet! Not a fact this time, but a very important question: when a spider crawls back up it's web, what does it do with the strand that it's climbing?
